Trezor Bridge is essential software that enables communication between your Trezor hardware wallet and your browser, ensuring secure access to your crypto assets.
Trezor Bridge is a lightweight application that runs in the background on your computer, creating a secure communication channel between your Trezor hardware wallet and supported web applications like Trezor Suite.
Unlike browser extensions which have been phased out due to security concerns, Trezor Bridge operates at the system level, providing enhanced security and universal browser compatibility. It works seamlessly with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and other modern browsers.
The Bridge software is completely open-source, allowing the community to audit the code and verify its security. It never has access to your private keys or recovery seed—all sensitive operations remain isolated within your Trezor device.
Once installed, Trezor Bridge runs automatically whenever you need to use your Trezor device with web-based applications. It requires minimal system resources and updates automatically to ensure you always have the latest security improvements.
